Hi, you've reached Žiga's personal website.
Who am I?
I am a student at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at University of Ljubljana. I am currently actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in pure mathematics. Alongside studies I
work at the Scientific Computing laboratory located in the E6 department at Jožef Stefan Institute.
My research
My main research interest lies in the discrete well-posedness of partial differential equations (PDEs) and stability of time dependent problems.
In particular I mainly conduct research on collocation methods, specifically meshless methods (RBF-FD). Alongside collocation methods, I am also interested
in mixed finite element methods and finite element exterior calculus. At the moment, I do research in stability of mixed elasticity formulation of
models on nanoscale levels.
Personal life
In my personal life, I enjoy running and skiing in the winter. I am a lifetime sport enthusiast; I particularly enjoy watching ski jumping and cycling.
